Practicing gratitude can transform your mental, emotional, and spiritual health. But how often do we pause to reflect on the level of gratefulness in our daily lives? This short assessment will help you gauge where you stand and highlight areas for growth.

For each statement below, rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5:

  • 1 – Rarely
  • 2 – Occasionally
  • 3 – Sometimes

Scoring & Reflection:

  • 40 – 50 (Thriving in Gratitude):
Gratitude is deeply woven into your daily life. Keep nurturing this practice and share it with others!

  • 30 – 39 (Growing in Gratitude):
You’re intentional about practicing gratitude but have room to deepen this habit. Reflect on areas where gratefulness may be overlooked.

  • 20 – 29 (Room for Growth):
Gratitude may not consistently be part of your routine. Consider starting a gratitude journal or setting reminders to pause and thank God daily.

  • Below 20 (Starting Point):
You’re beginning to explore gratitude. Be encouraged—small shifts can make a big difference. Start by thanking God for three things each morning and evening.

Next Steps to Cultivate Gratitude:

  • Daily Reflection: End each day by listing three things you’re thankful for.
  • Scripture Meditation: Reflect on verses like 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “Give thanks in all circumstances.”
  • Gratitude Jar: Write down blessings and drop them in a jar to revisit during challenging times.
  • Share Gratitude: Express your appreciation to someone each day.

Gratitude is a spiritual discipline that shifts our perspective and draws us closer to God. No matter where you scored, remember that cultivating gratefulness is a journey—one that brings joy, peace, and deeper connection with Him.
